Eric has worked on getting permits approved for work on commercial and residential projects across New Jersey and New York, dealing with structural, electrical, plumbing, fire code, and other issues.

Eric’s time on the Planning Board of Jersey City reviewing and evaluating plans allows him to parse through documents and see issues before the inspector flags it.

Further, Eric’s work on several construction projects, some of his own design, while working for the City of Jersey City has helped him know the right questions to ask of the right person to get a project completed and permits closed…expeditiously.

For the small business incubator program PopUP Jackson Hill, Fleming designed, and then managed the construction of the site, working with Zoning, Planning, Construction Code, and the Law Department to convert shipping containers into well-lit storefronts with electricity, air conditioning and heat, built to sit on concrete foundations and moved to other sites easily, as needed.
